Prologue to the Film Thumper°
(I.R.C.L. pt. II)
(I.R.C.L. pt. II)
Part 2 of the Individual Relics of a Certain Liar trilogy: droning Neu-Classical melodies, drum-pit like percussion, and overdubbing experimental compositions, chopping them up and overdubbing again.
"Experience layered instrumentation, combining electronic and acoustic elements, within a boldly existential and cinematic sound, if I do say so myself (I do)."
It's self-indulgent; spacious, and yet upside down. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself and so then I'll hate myself as punishment for giving into that. Right? So then I'll thhink to myself: Which internal reaction is ignoring the porblem? ........Both. It's: "both", is the answer. I like to play around in this existential trap. (See tracks "You're Doing It, Peter" and "Neverending Flawless Victory", for reference.)
Like Eyeedea said (and also the film Labryinth i think-with Bowie), It's that whole thing about "there's one *insert demon/entity* to the left of me that ALWAYS tells me lies, and the *insert self/entity* to my right ALWAYS tells the truth. Or is that the lie and you've got it backwards?? In Labrynth Jennifer Connely just chooses to deal with the consequences of making a choice. Eyedea on the other hand said something like, "...I never cared too much for life, but jfc i get a tad bit nervous when concerned with burnin' for eternity.. Well, who cares?" And then turns around rejecting the truth and the lies, and we find ourselves walking right into heaven. Or in this case, satisfying the urge to express nostalgia meloncholically, sonically, and then finding the language to confirm it ideologically. It's a treacherous gap to bridge, let me know if I failed.

"Prologue" clears space for Part III, from deep inside the Luciferean psychosis that is Satanic S'mores. Preview "Thrown to Throne", the EPs closing track, below.
